Login simplified

One thing all web users share is the agony of remembering login names and passwords to every single service they've signed up for thru the years. To deal with this people use the same username/password combination wherever possible. Including myself. From a security point of view this of course is terrible. No explanation needed. Some people use the web browsers built in password manager or some third party solution, e.g. 1Password from Agile Web Solutions. This works quite fine until you need to login from a different device than your main computer. Then you’re screwed again, and have to rely on the "Have you forgot your password" button. In our systems this is a surrprisingly common action, so it's safe to say that the situatuion is the same elsewhere.

To address this problem we at DigitalBooker are currently developing a new login system for our customers. We are integrating OpenId, Facebook, Twitter and Google as authentication mechanisms. As a majority of today’s web users are constantly signed in to one of these services, the booking process will be faster and easier than ever. Further on we will also integrate this with the different services these companys provide. E.g a user can post a booking directly on his/her wall or make an automatic tweet about it.

And then there's the other side. How our current and future customers will benefit. Every one out there using our booking system will gain over 500 000 000 (yes, half a billion) potential customers that already have an account for making bookings right now.

So stay tuned to here more about our quest to make online booking as fast, easy and fun as possible.
